PUBLIC INTEREST WATCH NAMES INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Consumer Advocate Lewis Fein Succeeds Michael Hardiman
Washington, DC March 9, 2004 - Public Interest Watch (PIW), a nonprofit corporation dedicated to exposing individual cases of abuse among charitable trusts, proudly announces the appointment of Lewis Fein as interim executive director of the organization. Fein, a writer and public activist, and consumer advocate will assume leadership responsibilities for Public Interest Watch until the board of directors selects a permanent replacement.
"Lewis offers Public Interest Watch a bevy of service from the public sector - including research skills groomed on Capitol Hill - while enjoying a keen eye about the operation of private corporations," said PIW Board Member Jim McCarthy. "As more non-profits unfortunately abuse the public's confidence, it helps to have an individual like Lewis fighting for our principles."
Fein also reiterated his gratitude for the opportunity to guide Public Interest Watch toward
the next stage of public advocacy and government service. "This organization exemplifies a
commitment to excellence and integrity I strongly endorse," declared Fein.
